Home Patch: Lark Sparrow

Another busy morning at the park, with at least a dozen birders out. I arrived at my normal time, 10 am, and most folks were on their way out. Apparently a Canada Warbler had been seen, a new bird for the park list, while looking for it we found several Yellow Warblers, many Gnatcatchers, Great Crested Flycatcher, Indigo Buntings, Northern Waterthrush, and again I spotted a Mourning Warbler, this time a male near the pump. Otherwise it was pretty quiet, but on the way out I came across a juvenile Lark Sparrow (bad pics below), a new bird for our park list for most of us, even though it had been seen here before.
