From the Field: Stock Pond Shorebirds

I checked the stock pond from Monday again today and found a huge flock of Long-billed Curlews, about fifty, lined up along the shore. Least and Spotted Sandpipers were still present and when I wandered around the edge I discovered a single Buff-breasted Sandpiper, the bird allowed close approach. At another pond I found Stilt Sandpiper again and added Black-necked Stilt, never thought stock ponds could attract such a variety of shorebirds. I have a very poor picture below as I am using a simple point and shot from work.
